| The Wolbach Community
Foundation was organized exclusively for charitable and educational
purposes. The foundation was established as a non-profit, tax-exempt
organization and have their own By-Laws. They held their first
official meeting January 5, 2000 at the Wolbach City Hall. Officers
elected were Bernadene Bane, president; R.D. Nealon, vice-president;
Gayle Grossart, treasurer and Francis Kolar, secretary. The
officers remain the same, except Francis Kolar resigned his
position and Dodie Thompson is now the secretary.
The purpose of the foundation is to seek funds and other resources
to provide and maintain opportunities for community betterment
and school projects.
The foundation invests and distributes 100% of the donations.
It consists of a 10-member board of directors. Only the interest
is given as grants directed by the board of directors on an
annual basis. To date $4,945.36 has been given to different
organizations, with the most given this year, $1,699.36.
Contributions may assume many forms: memorial gifts to honor
friends and relatives; direct gifts of cash, securities or
real estate; deferred gifts, through bequests, trusts of life
insurance policies; or special gifts to support a particular
program.
